About This Listing
Akwa Ibom Transport Company Limited (AKTC) was established in 2001.
In 2004, AKTC faced decline and near collapse.
The company entered into a partnership with Nsik Motors Limited for revival.
Nsik Motors quickly restored AKTC’s former glory and operational standards.

In 2005, the state government decided to lease AKTC to a private investor.
Nsik Motors bid for the lease, won it, and has maintained it to date.
Thanks to its strong performance and service, the state approved continued leasing to Nsik Motors.
Nsik Motors acquired over 1,000 brand new vehicles, boosting operations significantly.
It also launched a courier service, Nsik Express Delivery Company Limited.
The old AKTC terminus became too small for expanding operations.
In January 2018, Nsik Motors acquired land from the state government in Uyo.
They built an ultra-modern terminus and a vehicle assembly plant on the new site.
This marked the end of the first lease of AKTC to Nsik Motors.
A new lease was granted, covering only AKTC’s goodwill—its name and insignia.
AKTC now operates termini in 17 states, including the Federal Capital Territory.
AKTC aims to expand its presence to all Nigerian states.
Nsik Motors (AKTC) offers safe, affordable and prompt road transport services, courier and logistic services, as well as the sales and lease of vehicles.
